The Business Journal surveyed senior living operators in the Twin Cities to compile this list. The 24-county metro area includes Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Freeborn, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Le Sueur, Mower, Nicollet, Olmsted, Ramsey, Rice, Scott, Sherburne, Stearns, Steele, Washington, Wright, Pierce and St. Croix counties. No. 9 Augustana Care and No. 21 Elim Care Inc. are expected to merge in January 2020. Last year, the two were incorrectly combined on The List.
