We are happy to share that we received our Certificate of Occupancy on March 20, 2020, which allows our new residents to begin their move-ins. We experienced some unforeseen delays and challenges prior to COVID-19 from our contractor and sub-contractors that we addressed to meet our deadline of opening in March.
We are now dealing with the effects of COVID-19, like so many other businesses. Because we are in the Senior Living business, we are at a heightened level of precautions and care. The PDMC development team has met multiple times with Great Lakes Management (GLM), our facility operator, to review the current guidelines outlined by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), to ensure we are following those provided and that our residents will be safe and comfortable.
Under the guidelines, Seven Hills Senior Living will be allowing residents to move-in. We have created move-in protocols that include the screening of all vendors and visitors allowed into the community. Our marketing plan included numerous tours and open houses scheduled for the next 60 days, but we will not be able to start tours or open houses for several weeks. We are waiting to receive additional guidance in the coming days and weeks.
